

Carruthers
In 2016 local restaurateur Jim Defoe opened Carruthers, a new culinary venture in the heart of downtown Astoria. As the chef started planning signature dishes, we developed the restaurant’s visual identity with logos, signs, print layouts and more.


Overhead sign
High density urethane letters, 23kt gilded outlines & automotive finish, acrylic inserts, welded steel armature and brackets. Fourteen feet across.


Gilded doors
23kt gilded doors, enamel paints, faux marble, mother-of-pearl detail. Design repeats inside the glass to remain visible when doors are propped open in summer.


Gilded windows and carved panels
23kt gilded windows, enamel paints. Double sided CNC carved interior panels with gilded pinline.

Promotional vintage postcards, table menus and a drinks booklet with a foil stamped cover.
